A Very Hungry Caterpillar

Name of Book: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Age Group: Pre School

Author: Eric Carle

This is a widely acclaimed classic book for children. There are millions of reviews and none of them has probably mentioned anything negative about this caterpillar that eats voraciously and finally emerges as a beautiful butterfly

Pros: Very colourful and keeps the interest of the child going. Most local libraries will have the book.

Cons: Hardly anything. (Lots of merchandise and lots of marketing help the book to reach the masses. Some lesser known books might be there that are equally good probably. But this is not really a negative for this book).

Mini Edition :

I love the bright colours and turning the pages over. I have learned to count 1-5, learned the colours and the food and the days of the week.
